Audrey is the second Owls track that offers an ode to David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks” character of Audrey Horne. The young woman, trapped in boredom in her father’s hotel, wandering the hallways in search of a thrill. Aware of the effect she has on others, but not yet aware of the consequences her actions could have. Musically, the track was heavily inspired by old school triphop, the groove and bassline gently pulling the listening back in their seat, the almost theremin-like synth line sweeping over the top like a siren. As the track unfolds, the mystery is cracked open and a wild, jazzy saxophone solo roars into the mix, playing the track out like a hazy memory.
