Song For Slowdancing describes losing something in your life that you never thought you’d lose. Something - or somebody - that you leaned on heavily, that acted as a compass for every decision. A loss like that can turn your world upside down. But then, years pass and one day you may find yourself looking back at that turning point as a good thing. A thing that happened and made you stronger. Made you you.

Musically, the song was inspired by the lilting, moody sounds of a smoky
barband, a slide guitar adding that extra layer of melancholy. And then in the chorus, the whole band is lifted off stage just for a moment, their toes brushing the floorboards as the room is bathed in light.
